 Grade 5 Social Studies

Students will learn about an important and controversial period in American History, while developing the skills involved in historical inquiry.  Students will use the information gained to create an informed opinion on the creation of Japanese Internment Camps in the United States during WWII.  

Social Studies within a Global Education

Grade 5: A thematic approach to U.S. history dominates the program with special attention to concepts of interdependence, conflict, scarcity, and human rights, as well as emphasis on selected ideas that make the U.S. unique.
